NKU places 92 on HL Academic Honor Roll

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University placed 92 student-athletes on the 2016 Spring Horizon League Academic Honor Roll.

In total, 943 Horizon League student-athletes earned honor roll distinction across all 10 Horizon League institutions and each of the 19 League sponsored sports. NKU had the fifth-most honorees out of all League institutions.

To qualify for the academic honor roll, student-athletes must have competed in the most recent or current season, completed at least three semesters as a full-time student at the same institution, and recorded a cumulative GPA of at least 3.20.

Northern Kentucky's student-athletes recorded a cumulative 3.24 GPA in the Spring 2016 semester, tying the school record for student-athlete GPA that was set in fall 2015. The accomplishment marked NKU's fourth-straight semester with at least a 3.2 GPA and 10th-straight with at least a 3.0.
