Christine Roush named to #HLWBB All-Academic Team

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University guard Christine Roush was named to the Horizon League All-Academic Team for women's basketball, the League office announced on Wednesday.

Roush, a graduating senior from Louisville, Kentucky, earned All-League First Team honors in 2015-16 after leading the Norse in scoring with 15.8 points per game, ranking fourth among League scorers. Roush was dangerous from beyond the arc, shooting 38.4 percent from three-point range, and was one of the nation's top free-throw shooters at 90.7 percent on the season.

Roush was also named the College Sports Madness Horizon League Player of the Week on Feb. 2 after posting a pair of 20-point games at Cleveland State and Youngstown State.

In the classroom, Roush boasts a 3.78 GPA as a Biological Sciences major and is on track to graduate after final exams this week. For her efforts, she was named to the Division I-AAA ADA Scholar-Athlete team, the only Horizon League player so honored.
