Uetrecht named to #HLWBB All-Tournament Team


GREEN BAY, Wis. - Northern Kentucky University forward Kasey Uetrecht was named to the Horizon League Women's Basketball Championship All-Tournament Team, the League office announced on Sunday.

Uetrecht, a sophomore from Oregonia, Ohio, averaged 17.7 points and 7.3 rebounds over three games in the championship. She shot 59.4 percent (19-for-32) from the field and drained eight three-pointers. Uetrecht also dished out 3.7 assists per game on the week.

Uetrecht scored 15 points, grabbed seven rebounds and added five assists in Thursday's 71-59 win over Cleveland State. She came back against Valparaiso to go 8-for-9 from the field, including 2-for-2 from beyond the arc, for 18 points in a 76-53 win in the second round.

She posted her second double-double on the year in NKU's semifinal matchup against Green Bay, going for 20 points, 11 rebounds and five assists in an 80-78 double-overtime loss.

The Norse now stand 19-13 on the season and are hopeful to continue play in the postseason, with selection announcements expected on Monday.
