Norse MBB radio broadcasts set for iHeartMedia stations

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Four local iHeartMedia radio stations will once again carry Northern Kentucky University men's basketball radio broadcasts throughout the upcoming season, putting NKU on the premier sports talk radio stations in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region.

NKU's 31 regular-season contests and all postseason play will air on ESPN1530, FOXSports1360, 55KRC or The Project.

Jim Kelch and Steve Moeller also return to call the games. Kelch brings extensive experience in the broadcast industry and is currently on the Cincinnati Reds broadcast team. Moeller is a former collegiate basketball coach, with stops at Cincinnati, Akron, Texas and Ole Miss on his resume.

Northern Kentucky opens the 2016-17 regular-season with a home contest against Earlham on Friday night. Tip-off in BB&T Arena is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the game can be heard on The Project (100.7/106.3 FM).

The Norse ran away to a 102-54 victory in their exhibition contest against Wilmington last Friday. Dantez Walton led five players in double-figures with 17 points.
