HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Head coach John Basalyga is pleased to announce the signing of Matt Dombrosky and Dalton Robinson to national letters of intent for the Northern Kentucky University men's soccer team.  Both men will join the team for the 2013 season.

"Both Matt and Dalton come from one of the top clubs in Kentucky, River City Rovers Academy,” said Basalyga of his signees. “Their experience, athleticism and competitiveness on the field are qualities that will be put to good use in our current system of play.  We look forward to getting them on campus in the fall to help move our program forward through our transition years in Division I."

Dombrosky, a senior at North Oldham High School in Goshen, Ky., had great success as an attacking center midfielder for the Mustangs, amassing 42 goals and tacking on 32 assists over his last three seasons.  Dombrosky captained the Mustangs in each of the last two seasons and was named team MVP in his senior year.  The Prospect, Ky. native also played his club ball with the River City Rovers Youth Academy of Louisville, Ky., where his teams captured five state championships.

Robinson, a senior at Atherton High School in Louisville, Ky., registered 14 goals and added seven assists in his senior year as the Rebels' captain and MVP and totaled 30 goals in his high school career as a midfielder and forward.  Robinson was a teammate of Dombrosky's with the River City Rovers Youth Academy as well.

These young men will join a Norse squad that finished fourth in its inaugural season of play in the Atlantic Sun Conference, boasting a league record of 4-3-1.  NKU was 7-10-1 overall last season.
