The NKU men's cross country team ran to a fourth-place finish at the Mountaineer Open.

BOONE, N.C. – The Northern Kentucky University men's cross country team posted a fourth-place finish on Friday night at the Division I-heavy Mountaineer Open, hosted by Appalachian State.
NKU posted 106 total points in the 6.4-kilometer meet, with
J.J. Webber leading the way at 20:05.9 in 13th place.
Brendan Chwalek followed in 17th place with a time of 20:14.2.
Joey Mueller (20:28.0) in 24th place,
Ricky Harm (20:38.7) in 32nd and Matt Kincaid (20:50.9) in 34th place rounded out the team scoring.
The meet was dominated by Ohio State, which claimed four of the top five positions in the race, scoring 21 total points. Host Appalachian State took second place with 64 points while Division II institution Queens (N.C.) claimed third place with 100 points.
