HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Former Scott County High School standout Chad Jackson will play for Northern Kentucky University in 2011-12 after transferring from James Madison, Norse head coach
Dave Bezold announced.

Jackson, a 6-foot-4 guard, earned all-state honors as a senior at Scott County two years ago after averaging 16.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. He led the Cardinals to a 30-7 record and the semifinals of the state tournament that season.
He played his first two years at Rose Hill Christian School and was named co-most valuable player of the 16th Region's All-A Classic as a sophomore.
Jackson signed with James Madison and played for the Dukes last season, averaging 2.8 points and 2.6 rebounds per contest in 33 games. He scored a career-high nine points against Virginia Commonwealth and helped James Madison post a 21-12 record.
In his collegiate debut last season, Jackson scored four points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out four assists against then-No. 3 Kansas State.
“Chad was one of the top players in the state two years ago, so we're excited to have him join our program,” Bezold said. “He played for a good James Madison team last season, and the experience he brings is going to help our program. Chad can play several positions, and his versatility is going to be a plus.”
Jackson joins an NKU team that posted a 21-9 record last season and advanced to the NCAA Division II Tournament.
