After opening the season at No. 21, NKU vaulted 14 places to No. 7 in this week's poll.

NKU opened the season with a bang, taking a 4-0 decision over Findlay in the regular-season opener on Friday before winning a 2-1 decision over Southern Indiana to start Great Lakes Valley Conference play. NKU is 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the GLVC.
