HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - For the second consecutive month, Northern Kentucky University's
Lyndsey Bevill has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Golfer of the Month, the conference office announced on Friday.
Bevill, a senior from Sanders, Ky., punched her ticket to the NCAA Championships for the second consecutive season this past weekend, shooting a three-round total of 229 (75-78-76) in the NCAA East Regional to finish tied for seventh place to qualify for the national tournament as an individual and lead the Norse to an eighth-place finish.
The week prior, Bevill shared the low score at the GLVC Championships, shooting a two-round 150 (75-75) and taking the tournament to a sudden-death playoff.
She took the medal at the Lewis Aviator Classic on April 18-19, shooting a one-over-par 145 (70-75) and winning the tournament by five strokes.
Bevill will compete at the NCAA Championships beginning on May 12 at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz.
