SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Northern Kentucky University women's golfer
Lyndsey Bevill qualified as an individual for the upcoming NCAA Division II Championships by tying for seventh place at the NCAA Division II East Regional.
Bevill finished with a three-round total of 229 after shooting a 4-over-par 76 during Tuesday's final round at the Rivercut Golf Course. That allowed the NKU senior to earn a trip to the NCAA Division II Championships, which will be held May 12-15 at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz.
The top three squads along with the top three individuals not with a team from each regional advanced to the national championships. NKU finished eighth as a team at the East Regional with a score of 974.
Grand Valley State won the East Regional title with a 54-hole total of 906, 13 strokes better than runner-up Indianapolis (919). California (Pa.) finished third with a score of 926.

Hannah Lindauer tied for 24th place with a final score of 238 after shooting a 77 on Tuesday.
