Norse women's golfers finish second round of play at NCAA East Regional in eighth place

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Northern Kentucky University women's golf team is in eighth place after two rounds of play at the NCAA Division II East Regional with a score of 655.

NKU finished Monday's second round with a 324 at the par-72 Rivercut Golf Course. Norse senior golfer Lyndsey Bevill is in eighth place with a two-day total of 153. Bevill shot a 78 on Monday, as did teammate Hannah Lindauer (161 two-day total).

Grand Valley State is atop the team standings with a two-round total of 605. The 54-hole tournament concludes play Tuesday. The top three squads along with the top three individuals not with a team from each regional will advance to the national championships.

The NCAA Division II Championships will be held May 12-15 at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz.
