NKU's Maguire selected as preseason All-America candidate by The Sporting News

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University's Dustin Maguire has been selected as a preseason All-America candidate by The Sporting News in its NCAA Division II college basketball preview.

Maguire, a 6-foot-5 junior guard, averaged a team-leading 15.0 points per game last season and helped NKU win the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament championship. Maguire finished No. 1 nationally among NCAA Division II players in free-throw shooting at 93.6 percent and was 76-for-191 from 3-point range.

Bellarmine is ranked No. 1 nationally in The Sporting News preseason poll, while NKU was listed as a possible breakthrough team.
